Narrow you search results by adding additional search wordsWhen you are doing a multiple word search (i.e. foreign body removal) you will get a lot of hits for CPT. However, you can add words to your search and search again and it will narrow your results. In our example if we add the word 'tissue' it will return 5 hits. Adding the word 'simple' will return only a few results. Our search string looks like this: "foreign body removal simple". |

Create you own custom list of search words, codes, or websites that you use most oftenAfter performing a search on a new word, phrase, or code, simply click the "Add Bookmark" button to add it to the list of "My Bookmarks and give it a name of your choosing. You can also create your own search text by highlighting text from the Description for the code you want to bookmark, then click the "Add Bookmark" button and paste it into the "Search Text" box, then give it a name. This works the same on ICD-9 Vol 1, ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS, CrossLink, and Modifiers. CMS and CCI use Codes rather than words or phrases. In Web Links when you click the "Add Link" button it will show the link and you will be able to give it a "Display Name" that will show up in the list. |
